Established in 1981, Sachin Light House (SLH) was founded by Mr. Kannayalal D Talreja as a modest electrical outlet, which went on to become the leading decorative lighting service provider in Bengaluru. His will and hard work was the sole reason why SLH procured a dealership for Philips, a prominent feat at the time. Year after year, the company grew thanks to the efforts of our respected founder, and was seen as worthy by Philips to become the sole distributor for Vellore district. Mr. Kannayalal not just laid the foundation for a thriving business, but also gave SLH its most strategic growth partner in the form of Philips at the very beginning of the journey.

With global progress made in the decorative lighting segment, the accountability to run the daily operations of SLH was bestowed upon Mr. Umesh K Talreja, the second generation businessman of the family. His voluntary involvement in the company right since the early years facilitated a smooth transition and gave SLH the expansion scope it deserved in positioning itself as a strong and preferred decorative lighting dealer in Bengaluru. All our departments were optimized with newer ideas, especially the marketing function which saw ‘a full-throttle aggressive’ approach that widened the company’s decorative lighting distribution area to 145 km.

Mr. Umesh led the business successfully for 35 long years, before passing the baton to next-gen entrepreneurs Sachin Talreja and Divij Talreja. Well-qualified individuals with working experience in reputed Indian MNCs, both brothers gained exposure to sales, marketing, operations, business development, and supply chain before joining the family business. The knowledge and proactive thought process that they bring to the table, is certainly the guiding light of SLH for years to come.
